MTU MAINTENANCE CANADA LTD. LOCAL 764 INFORMATION SESSIONS & STRIKE VOTE

Our bargaining proposals are based upon the demands and priorities set by the membership in the bargaining survey and focus on critically important topics including sub-contracting, technological change, electronic surveillance and fair compensation that is responsive to economic realities. The employer seeks to alter work schedules, skill and shift premiums, and vacation ratios in a manner that will significantly impact the quality of your work life balance and overall compensation.
As we enter the monetary phase of bargaining, it is important that we send a clear message that the membership is behind their Negotiations Committee and our demands. Accordingly, your Committee has made the decision to seek a strike mandate from the membership. Read Bulletin here…

Bulletin – Brother Christopher Hiscock

Brothers and Sisters:
It is with profound regret and the greatest sadness to inform all of you of the passing of our President, Friend and Brother, Christopher Hiscock
Bro. Hiscock passed away on January 19, 2025. Chris was the heart of our Executive Board. He mentored, educated, befriended and advocated for each of us. He was extremely proud of our Local and what we stand for.
Chris also sat on the District 140 Executive Board and Chaired the Air Canada Pension for many years. We ask for patience, as we work our way through this.
This is an unspeakable loss for his wife and family. Our Local will do everything we can going forward to support them. At this time though, we ask that you respect their privacy.
More information will be passed along for a celebration of life, once we know details.
