Executive Board Elections will be held at our upcoming DL140 Convention being held in Ottawa, Ontario on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday October 25, 26 & 27, 2022.
There are to be nine (9) Board Members to be elected – one (1) from “Air Transport”, one (1) from “Service” and one (1) “At-Large”, from each of the three (3) Regions. The Western Region includes British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Central Region includes Ontario. The Eastern Region includes Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces.

District Bulletin 18 – AUDITORS ELECTION DISTRICT LODGE 140

District Bulletin 17 – AIR CANADA TMOS SEVERANCE PAY
Last June, District Lodge 140 filed a grievance on behalf of some Members that did not receive severance pay after being placed on lay-off status for one (1) year or more.
The Company took the position that Members who did not elect to exercise certain bumping privileges under the terms of the Collective Agreement would forfeit entitlement to severance pay. Read Bulletin here…

District Bulletin 14 – AIR CANADA TMOS PENSION CAP RETROACTIVITY UPDATE
The outstanding issue regarding eligibility of the pension cap increase retroactivity for those IAMAW Members who retired under the provisions of the ERIP has been resolved favorably.
At the beginning of April, the Pension Department will send a letter containing details and instruction to the home addresses of affected Members. Your Union has been advised Members will have four (4) weeks from receipt of notification to respond via email and indicate selection. Read Bulletin here…

Air Canada has issued a final notice to IAMAW members who have not complied with the Company’s
mandatory vaccine policy. Air Canada has notified employees who remain non-compliant that they will be

IAMAW MULTI-EMPLOYER PENSION PLAN ADDRESS CHANGE
This bulletin is to advise all Transportation District 140 members of the IAMAW Multi-Employer Pension Plan (MEPP) that the MEPP administration office will be moving effective February 1, 2022. The new mailing address for the MEPP is: 116 Lisgar Street – Suite 204, Ottawa, ON, K2P 0C2

Apply for the 2022 IAM Scholarship Competition
The 2022 IAM Scholarship Competition is accepting applications and has added a new program which will allow entrants the option to apply online. The competition is open to members of the IAM and their children throughout the United States and Canada.
If you opt to apply via mail-in, the application packet must be postmarked by February 11, 2022, and received no later than February 23, 2022.

In 2021, the IAM awarded 16 scholarships valued at $64,000. The winners were selected out of over 300 applicants
District Bulletin 02 – AC PENSION SEMINARS 2022
The enactment of various provincial health restrictions designed to reduce the spread of the Covid-19
pandemic have prevented your IAMAW Air Canada Pension Committee from holding any in-person
pension seminars during most of 2020 and all of 2021.
At this time, it is still not possible to confirm seminar dates for any Local Lodge or city. However,
members are asked to monitor their Local Lodge websites and bulletin boards as we move later into
the spring of 2022. Pension Seminar notices will be posted (typically one month in advance) in each
