The Committee of General Chairpersons wanted to update you on our ongoing challenge to the
company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, particularly regarding its stance on cannabis use.

Currently, your Union is actively challenging the Policy through the grievance procedure. We are
steadfast in our commitment to advocating for your rights and ensuring fair treatment in the

DISTRICT 140 BYLAWS ARTICLE VII – GOVERNMENT OF THE DISTRICT BYLAWS

SUBJECT – New proposals and amendments to the Bylaws.
OBJECTIVE – To accelerate the submission of proposals or amendments to existing District 140 Bylaws.
GENERAL INFORMATION – The Bylaws Committee will be appointed by the President & Directing General Chairman. Selection will be made from among the delegates attending the District 140 Convention. District Bulletin 5 – AIR CANADA IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION FOR FR DAY REQUEST (PERSONAL LEAVE)

We wanted to bring your attention to the Company’s recent demands for supporting documentation when submitting requests for FR days (Personal Leave, as per the Canada Labour Code). The Company has been making demands for specific documentation to support our members requests for an FR day. Some of these requests go as far as asking for “time stamped messages” from caregivers. These demands are not in line with the Canada Labour Code and are causing undue hardship on our membership. It is our members right to decide what documents they are able to provide, if any. District Bulletin 50 – AC GENERAL CHAIRPERSON ELECTION RESULTS WESTERN REGION, BC & YUKON

As a result of the General Chairperson Elections held on November 21, 2023, the member listed below has been elected to a four (4) year term as the AC General Chairpersons – Western Region, BC & Yukon commencing on January 1, 2024
Craig Chard – 56% of the vote. (elected)
Chris Cheung – 24% of the vote.
Robert Croteau – 7% of the vote.
Paul Penman – 13% of the vote.

District Bulletin 34 – DISTRICT 140 SISTERS SEEKING NEW LEADS MEMBERS

District 140 is seeking sisters interested in participating in the Leads Program.
In 2021, the IAM Executive Council approved the new IAM Leadership Excellence Assembly of
Dedicated Sisters, or LEADS, mentoring program.

This is the first of its kind among Unions in North
America. The program fosters and facilitates the development of more women leaders by providing
a pathway for more Sisters to be involved in leadership positions. The first cohort began in 2022 and

We want to provide you with an update regarding the ongoing grievance of the company’s improper implementation of the second round of “off duty status” (ODS). The company has informed us that the resolution for the first set of members impacted by this is now in the final stages.
