Please note: District Lodge 140 Bulletin 47, issued today, clearly states Covid language can no longer be used on the Ballots. New Absentee Ballots have been released. If you used “Verified Illness (Including fear of voting in person due to COVID)” on a absentee ballot, you will receive a letter stating it was unable to be processed. We have been informed that some Local Lodges are still using the Covid-19 restrictions allowance, as previously permitted to do on the absentee ballot request.

District Bulletin 34 – DISTRICT 140 SISTERS SEEKING NEW LEADS MEMBERS
District 140 is seeking sisters interested in participating in the Leads Program.
In 2021, the IAM Executive Council approved the new IAM Leadership Excellence Assembly of
Dedicated Sisters, or LEADS, mentoring program.
This is the first of its kind among Unions in North
America. The program fosters and facilitates the development of more women leaders by providing
a pathway for more Sisters to be involved in leadership positions. The first cohort began in 2022 and

David Roy GOOCH – Obituary
After retiring from the RAF, David immigrated permanently to Canada in 1973, where he had a long successful career in aviation and labour relations, with Eastern Provincial Airways, Canadian Airlines and Air Canada. He later joined the Halifax office of the Canada Industrial Relations Board, retiring in 2012. Obituary Here…
