LOCAL LODGE 764 ORGANIZING I – TRAINING COURSE
Local Lodge 764, in conjunction with Local Lodge 16, Transportation District 140 and District Lodge 250 has arranged to provide the IAMAW Organizing I course for any of our Members who may be interested in organizing.
Organizing I is a six (6) day course that will be provided by instructors from the IAMAW Winpisinger Education Center here in YVR at the Local Lodge 764 offices. These will be full days and some classroom assignments may run into the early evening on several days. The
curriculum is set up and the course will be run as if you were attending it at Placid Harbor. Lunch will be provided for all participants.

Obituary for Daniela Maria Zalunardo
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sister Daniela Zalunardo.
Daniela was born in Port Alberni and moved to Burnaby with her family in 1971. She had a long and successful career of 31 years at Air Canada and served on the Executive of the local lodge.

AIR CANADA MEMBERS EMPLOYEE TRAVEL POLICY – ABSENCE FOR MORE THAN 360 DAYS
In 2013, Air Canada modified its Employee Travel Policy to reduce personal pass travel for employees off work
for longer than one (1) year (365 Days), and further modified it in 2014, whereby Members who were absent
from work for more than 365 days were only entitled to three (3) travel passes per year until such time as they

The annual Dreams Hockey Tournament raises money that goes directly to the charity. Air Canada generously donates the ice time and our job is to have fun and raise money for the kids.

As you may be aware, the IAMAW filed an Unfair Labour Practice Complaint pursuant to sections 50 and 97 (1) before the Canadian Industrial Relations Board last October regarding an increase to the maximum cap on pensionable earnings due to circumstances that occurred during the last round of negotiations.
