Please be advised on November 21, 2024, the IAM filed an Application for a Mediator with the BC Labour Relations Board, pursuant to Section 74 of the Labour Relations Code and filed a Notice of Dispute and Request for Conciliation Assistance under the Canada Labour Code, Part 1, Section 71. We were advised by legal counsel to file under both the Provincial and Federal legislation due to the ongoing judicial review proceeding before the Federal Courts concerning the jurisdiction of MTU.
